Is there anything in the Smallville episode "Hex" that furthers the Clark-Lois relationship? — Trisha
MATT: It's fair to say there's a little something for every fan base in this season's 17th outing, in which a truly magical magician fulfills Chloe's wish to have Lois' "easy" life ... by transplanting her into her cousin's body. While my frenemy already teased a "longing look" between Clark and "Lois" — and Erica Durance's admirers can obviously count on seeing gobs of their fave actress — Chloe fans should be very pleased with an epiphany their girl reaches at episode's end. By the way, you know Clark gets a wish granted as well, right?

Episode 8.14 - Requiem - Steve Lombard

Thanks to Hells Bells for the following.

We know nothing about how he factors into this story at all, but the character of Steve Lombard - introduced in the 1970's Superman comics - makes an appearance, where he will be played by Ray Galletti. In the comics, Lombard is generally known as a sports reporter, both on television and in the Daily Planet. Thanks to Andy for the tip.

Episode 8.11 - Legion - CW Synopsis

Erica Durance Interview

Latest from TV Guide

Thanks to Hells Bells for the heads up.

I'm dying to know what happens to Smallville's Chloe (Allison Mack) in the wake of Doomsday kidnapping her at her wedding! — Ms. C
MATT: I just got off the horn with Sam Witwer (aka Davis/Doomy), and he says the Jan. 15 episode picks up more or less with "the absolute aftermath" of that wedding-smashing. How will Chloe bounce back from her abduction by the abomination? "That's a good question," Witwer hedges. "Chloe has an alter ego [aka Brainiac] as well, and that plays into how she's going to progress as a character." As for critically injured Jimmy, his assailant's portrayer kindly offers, "I'm hoping the guy pulls through."

Latest from Ausiello

Question: What can you tell me about the upcoming Smallville episode, "Hex"? I hear that by some magic spell Chloe turns into Lois, which has further inflamed the rivalry between Chloe fans and Lois fans. -- Trisha
Ausiello: Well, if that inflamed it, then this little spoiler is going to, um, er,… drive it one notch above inflamed. In one scene from the ep, Clark stares lovingly into Chloe's eyes, but only because he thinks it's Lois. It's at that moment that Chloe learns how hard Clark has fallen for Lois. Um, awkward!

Kristen Kreuk Talks

Thanks to carlomato for the heads up.

Kristen Kreuk has gone from sappy sweetie Lana Lang on Smallville to the ass-kicking bad-ass title role in Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li. Sporting a new do to accompany her new tude at Spike’s Video Game Awards yesterday, Kristen gave us the exclusive dirt on her new role, and why she will not disappoint her Smallville fans.

Will you be popping up on Smallville anymore this season?
I will. I have four more episodes that will air starting January 15th.

Anything you can share with us?
Lana is coming back after being away for a long time. The audience gets to find out what happened to her, what occurred during that time period. She’s very different when she comes back. Then she gets a beautiful send-off. She’s been a victim for so long, so she gets a beautiful send-off as a hero that her fans will really, really like.

Is this the last season of Smallville?
I don’t know. It depends on whatever goes on between Tom Welling and the powers that be. If th…

New Year Promo

Sci-Fi Magazine Teasers

Thanks to "Cheers" for the summary bellow and to Stig for a similar report.

The new issue of SciFi magazine has lots of teasers and hints--but no specific spoilers--about things coming up in the second half of the season, including Clois and the two possible ways the season can end!

Chimmy lives on: Kelly Souders says that the couple will "try to manage life" after their wedding but that it won't be easy for them.

In "Power" (the only episode specific spoiler), we'll learn what Lana was up to before her return, including some secrets she's been keeping.

Re: the show's two villains: The only real comment about Doomsday was that "we all know that doesn't end well." As for Tess, it sounds like we should expect to see her league of super-powered villains let loose at some point this season.

Clark's transition to Superman: "Clark's strugge to become the Superman we all admire faces new challenges." KS noted that Olive…

Let us know in the comments why you voted as you did? Would a 9th Season be a good idea or should they finish at 8?

Big Plans for Smallville

Thanks to b3rt4 for the heads up and for OSCK for the transcription below from TV Guide.

Is Tom Welling ready to hang up his Superman tights right before he gets fitted for them? Executive producer249042 Darren Swimmer wants to keep going , now that Smallville is enjoying a ratings rebound, but he reveals there are some issues with “actor availability”. After eight years playing Superboy, Tom 21, may understandably be ready to fly off into grown-up roles. Consider Dean Cain was 27 when he began playing Superman on the ’90s ABC show Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman, and Brandon Routh was just 26 when he took flight in 2006’s “Superman Returns”. (Repeated calls to Tom’s reps seeking comment were not returned.)

The CW series has another challenge: It’s starting to feel more and more like Lois & Clark, with Clark now working outside Smallville in Metropolis at the Daily Planet alongside Lois Lane and Jimmy Olsen. Coming to Smallville in early February is the villainous T…

Upcoming Episode Info

Thanks to michel for the heads up on some upcoming spoilers

- Chloe and Jimmy will "try to manage life" after the wedding but things will not be easy for them.
- Tess's league of super-powered villains will be let loose at some point this season. ("Injustice," anyone?)
- Souders notes that Clark's double identity will face new challenges, and that Oliver and other members of the Justice League haven't had the same struggles with developing their superhero identities, because their first identities aren't lies. For Clark, the transition is harder because Clark Kent, farmboy, is already a mask. She adds that Clark's humanity also gets in the way.
- The producers have planned two different potential arcs to end Season 8, depending on if there is another season. Regardless of when it happens, the final episode will be "either a heroic send-off or a heartbreaking decision for Clark to move on to the next phase." Souders is confident that the sh…

Video: Someone's Dream Is "Doomed"!

Thanks to supernatural66 for the better video version.

Previously, on the CW's Smallville....

Chloe and Jimmy's wedding was spectacularly crashed by the arrival of dreamy Davis Bloome's nightmarish alter ego, Doomsday. Large and in-charge and sporting the latest in bony protrusions, the creature grabbed the bride and spirited her away to the Fortress of Solitude. Once she came to, it became evident that Chloe Sullivan Olsen was not herself.

What's next in this harrowing tale, starring one of Superman lore's most formidable baddies? This exclusive video, narrated by Sam Witwer's Davis, should give you a tantalizing taste — and in a small way, help you get through the next six weeks, until fresh episodes of Smallville return on Jan. 15.

Check. It. Out.
