  2. Although Season 8 has been great, I think they should finish it here. Go out on a high.

  3. One more season would be great. I feel that the show could also possibly end on a season 10 depending on ratings & cast commitments.
It's got to end wright as so much time & effort has gone in to this great show. I would love to see Tom Welling done the Superman outfit & Lex Luthor return. What an ending that would be!

  4. Though it saddens my heart at the thought of it ending, I think it should end now. This season has been fantastic, and I would much rather see it go out on a high note rather than risk a failure next season.

  5. I would never EVER EVER want to see it end...

  6. No! Please let it end now! It should have ended several seasons ago. The show has gone in a different direction this season and not in a good way. This show started with Clark, Lex and Lana as the main three and it should have ended that way too. Once Lana is gone they'll be nothing worth watching anymore.

  7. i would prefer a justice league spin off rather than a 9th season of smallville

  8. It should end at 8. 8 being the kryptonian symbol for S. S for Superman. It makes sense.

  9. Season 9 definitively! Why? Because we haven't seen Perry again, because Ma Kent is not yet back to the farm, because we want seeing Clark during his training in the fortress and above all, because I am sure there are other stories related to Superman mythology to be told and because this show with Supernatural means success.

  10. I would love another season! Season 8 has been wonderful and the last thing I want is for this awesome show to end! Then I would be forced to get a life....*panic*

  12. The show Smallville is my favorite show, I watch it every week. But, I think it has gone as far as it can. Clark is where he should be. All he need is to find his Identity, learn to fly, before he finally leaves for his training, which he becomes, which can be summed up in the 12 remaining episodes. I will always have my DVD's to watch when it's all said and done.

  13. i love smallville i have done for a good long while but im sorry i gotta agree with some of the people that season 8 is a good way to end it you can really pick up on the vibe that clark is where he needs to be hes embraced his destiny hes working for the daily planet lex has gone *off gettin worse no doubt* so in a way theyve told everything that can be told in a series dont want to over do it mean like this season is brilliant but if they do another people might get bored thinkin when is this going to end what else can be said and done in smallville
but a made for tv movie or a special could do justice maybe of clarks early outings as superman i hope we see him become superman this season be good to see him fly off and round the earth like he does in the films
but personally for me season 9 would be a no go tbh end on a high not carry on and ruin things

  15. After that God awful Superman Returns movie and it's dreadful casting, i.e. Bosworth as Lois Lane, the WB owes the fans!!! My request is to give us 2 more seasons of Smallville allowing it to end on season 10. Seeing the show end on 8 or 9 seems so incomplete. Allow the show to go out with a bang at season 10. I mean, they have the goods to pull it off, just look at this the 8th season so far! What an amazing season it's been so far!! There is such a fresh new energy this year!! I can't believe its even the same show!! The writing for the characters has become so mature! Its almost like watching a CSI show with Superman mythology! Clark FINALLY mans up & Lois Lane totally ROCKS! Tom Welling & Erica Durance are utterly fantastic as Clark Kent & Lois Lane! Their chemistry is undeniable!! And the new villains Tess Mercer & Doomsday/Davis Bloom are awesome! Mercy is the Lex Luthor protege & the actress portraying her is positively fantastic! She delivers an amazing subtle sinister ore that makes you know that something wicked is coming! I cannot get over how Clark Kent has become such a man! I came so close to giving up on this show because of his constant blubbering, whimpering, whining & PINING over Lang! It has been so refreshing to not have to sit through any of that though its unfortunate that Lang is returning for a 5 episode appearance. I hope the writers don't allow Clark to regress to his former spineless ways. The only bummer this season is what they have done to Supergirl. They poorly wrote her character then wrote her off the show this season. Supergirl is part of the Superman mythology & she deserves better! I hope to see them bring her back to the show as a regular & repair what they have done! Other than that, this 8th season has ROCKED!!! I once again look forward to every new episode! And more than anything, I look forward to every scene with Clark & Lois together! Lois Lane is his future & destiny and I can't wait to see the legendary love affair begin! I truly hope that the show keeps going especially with this fantastic new energy and feel it has! Please don't let this be the last season of Smallville! And PLEASE bring Tom Welling & Erica Durance to the big screen as Superman & Lois Lane in the Superman franchise reboot!!!!

  16. No thanks! It's not the same show anymore. They should have ended it with season 5. Season 6 was 50/50, season 7 was horrible and all over the place. Season 8 shouldn't even be called Smallville. There's only two characters left from the pilot. Clark and Chloe, that's it? Not that I have anything against them being the only two originals left, but think about it. Ma Kent, Pa Kent, Pete, Lex, Lionel, and Lana are gone. Clark, Lana, Lex, and Chloe made the show. Clark and Chloe are the only one's left and the rest are newbies or entered in later seasons. It's practically a whole new show. A remake of the sorts of L&C though Dean and Teri were a much better Lois and Clark imo. I don't blame the actors, i blame the writers.

Anyway, I did not invest my time in this show since the pilot for it to turn into a poor remake of L&C, I have those DVDs. Anyway, Lois should have never entered the show, but now that she has, it should have ended with just a HINT of them getting closer, not a fullblown pine-fest on Lois' part. They shouldn't have switched the roles. Anyway, that.... and with a hint of Lana finally letting him go, with a HINT of him becoming Superman (i.e going to do his training), and with Lex fully embracing his darkness, unlike the crappy send-off he got in season 7's finale. I felt extremely cheated.

Anyway, that's how I think it should've ended. But now that they have this new season that is no longer Smallville imo, we can no longer see the ultimate villain (Lex) vs. the ultimate superhero (Clark) send-off. Which is the parallel we started with, isn't it? Ridiculous.

Looking at this season, BY ITSELF, without the previous seasons view, it's really good and could go on for more seasons. BUT looking at it from season 1 thru 8, it makes NO sense and is chcpped and screwed from beginning to where we are now. I prefer this being the last season with maybe a JL spin-off.

  17. As long as they don't bring Brainiac back ever again after this season, I'd love a 9th season, even 10th as the last. I'm sick of Brainiac popping up in every season since the 5th.
