Episode 8.19 - Stiletto - Episode Info

Thanks to Stig Morten for the heads up.

- The four characters that appear in this episode are Clark, Chloe, Lois, and Jimmy.
- Chloe and Lois finally get some hanging-out "cousin time" until they are attacked by two thugs. Lois takes one of them down with her stiletto heels (hence the title of the episode?) and begins to feel like a bit of a superheroine herself. The other, however, gets away with Chloe's car which has some very sensitive information inside.
- Lois recruits Jimmy for photography help to convince others that "Stiletto" is Metropolis' newest heroine so she can have the exclusive and then bring the Red-Blue Blur out of hiding. When Clark finds out about this, he tells Lois that she's a better reporter than one who would lie to advance her career.
- Lois may end up having contact with the Red-Blue Blur at some point of the episode.

Kristin Kreuk interview with TV Guide

A lot of tears" is what Kristin Kreuk promises when Lana Lang bids the CW's Smallville (if not Smallville, Kansas) a final farewell. As the original cast member's final three episodes unspool, TVGuide.com welcomed the chance to chat with Kreuk about Lana's super secrets, her big-screen butt-kicking, and the change that she hopes to bring to the world — one small step at a time. (Smallville airs Thursdays at 8 pm/ET.)

TVGuide.com: Word has it that Lana might have left town last spring under rather different circumstances than she led us to believe. True?
Kristin Kreuk: Very true. There's a lot of stuff going on with Lana that nobody knows except for her. The audience will slowly begin to understand as my remaining episodes air. You'll find out why she returned ... and why she was gone in the first place.

TVGuide.com: On a scale of 1 to 10, how would you rate the shock factor?
Kreuk: It's Smallville, so I'd say a 7.5. Considering there are always weird creat…

- Clark catches Tess snooping around the Talon apartment. Tess tells Clark that she is there because Lana has been poking around "secret LuthorCorp technology," which raises his suspicion.
- Clark learns that Chloe has been less than honest with him about something.

Casting News

As first hinted at in this week's Mega Buzz, Smallville has a fun new trick up its sleeve, and it involves the CW series' version of DC Comics trickstress Zattana. TVGuide.com has since learned exclusively that Serinda Swan (who is indeed far, far, far from an ugly duckling, as your Googling will demonstrate) has landed the guest-star role.

Swan will appear in this season's 17th episode, "Hex," playing Cassie, a birthday-party magician who grants guest-of-honor Chloe a wish. Having been through the wringer ever since Brainiac mind-boinked her and Doomsday crashed her wedding day, Chloe expresses a desire to lead the comparatively mild-mannered life of Lois Lane. VoilĂ ! Chloe magically inhabits Lois' (and thus Erica Durance's) body for the bulk of the hour.

Clark is also granted a wish. But what could he possibly want for?

Swan's credits include appearances on Supernatural (as a hospital receptionist in "Salvation") as well as a July 2008 episod…

Latest from TV Guide

On behalf of the millions of Lois Lane fans, I'm looking for scoopage. What can you tell us about her part in "Infamous," which is tentatively scheduled to air March 5? P.S. Where are those new Smallville promo shots you said were taken in November? — Becca
MATT: Millions, eh? "Infamous" brings Lois back with a considerable bang when meteor-freak reporter Linda Lake (Tori Spelling) blackmails Clark into doing her bidding, lest she spill his super secret. Nice try, Donna. Clark is no one's bitch, so he decides to give Lois the "exclusive" on his abilities. P.S. Coming very soon. Don't blink.

Update on Potential Return of Michael Rosenbaum

Thanks to Hells Bells for the heads up on

Michael Rosenbaum Willing To Return For The Series' Final Episodes?

The Windy City Times recently caught up with Michael Rosenbaum, where they talked about his career - past, present, and future - and the subject of a return to Smallville did come up... but there's a stipulation.

"I told the producers that I would only come back for the last episode or two if they let me wear a bald cap. I just grew my hair out," he said.

He also revealed in the interview that the producers have already attempted to bring him back. "They have asked me to come back a few times. People think they have seen me on the show since then but I found out they have been using body doubles to pretend that it's me. I don't know how fair that is to the fans," he says.

Tom Welling Close to Deal on a Ninth Season!!

Image
According to Ausiello at EW, Smallville's Tom Welling (Clark) is close to a a huge deal for a ninth season!!

Question: Any news as to whether Tom Welling has signed on for another season of Smallville? -- Scarlett

Ausiello: Yes, there's news, and it's good. Some would even call it, ahem, super. According to a well-placed Smallville insider, Welling is nearing a deal to return for a ninth season. I'm told they're just ironing out some minor deal points, such as should the Brinks Truck pull into the actor's driveway, or just unload on the street.
